OrchidFest 2022!

Join us for another fabulous year of OrchidFest!

This is a private music festival for our friends, family, and fellow musicians to gather, make memories and music!

The festivities start Friday September 3rd where campers are welcome to set up where there is an open spot. Plenty of room for tents and trailers. This year we will be having a "Bike to the Brewery" activity and welcome anyone to join us on a short bike ride to Remlinger Farms in Carnation where they have opened a new brewery. The beers on tap and food are delicious and it has been a welcome addition to the Carnation community.

Saturday we welcome more campers to arrive and for music we will have a casual, acoustic "Campfire Jam" around the fire pit in the pool area. If the group grows we may move to the larger fire pit in the back (all weather depending).

Sunday is the main event! A casual acoustic poolside session on the small stage starts around 1pm. Vocal mics may be set up, depending on the need. This is a great space to share your songs and gather for a more intimite, acoustic-like jam.

The electric backline on the main stage opens at 4pm. Check in with Barry ahead of time if you'd like to join a jam session or have your group perform. Barry will do his best to accomodate everyone interested in playing. There is no formal line-up, but it helps to have an idea of who wants to play.

This year for food we will be going back to a potluck/picnic style dining - whatever fits your comfort level. There are no expectations to participate in the potluck, but it is open to anyone who wants to join. There are plenty of places to set up a picnic for you, your family, or group and for those who wish to join the potluck we ask that your dishes be ready to serve with the necessary serving utensils. We will have a large supply of disposible cups, plates, and utensils, but additional supplies are always welcome.

Our bar will be lightly stocked with an array of beverages (including non-alcoholic and water), but this party is a BYOB and we appreciate anyone who helps "Stock The Bar" to share with others!

We will also have a large propane grill open and welcome anyone who would like to use it!

For those campers who stay over Sunday night we welcome you to join us Monday morning for our annual Monday Morning Camper's Breakfast! If you have a prepared breakfast dish you would like to share please let us know in advance and we will make room in either our fridge or freezer as we know many will be staying for the entirety of the weekend and it may be difficult to keep your dishes cool - especially those in tents. We will also have coffee, creamers, tea, and juices and are so excited to spend the weekend with you all!

And for those who have asked how you can support OrchidFest and keep it going for years to come, we have set up a Venmo and appreciate any donations! This helps us cover the costs around hosting a large group on the Kennelly's property, paying for help before, during, and after the event, and the occasional unforseen expenses as a result of the party - like, reparing the septic system.
